The Bike Cave is an on-campus bike shop and workspace providing the campus community with affordable bicycles; and the tools, space, and knowledge to tinker with them.

Texas State University has partnered with Zipcar to offer Bobcats self-serve, on-demand car-sharing on campus. To use Zipcars simply register as a member then reserve a car online or by phone. Gas and insurance are always included in the low hourly and daily rates.

Transportation Services provides a Residence Life Safety Shuttle to help students get to and from their residence hall and perimeter parking. The Residence Life Shuttle also provides escorts to and from Bobcat Village after the Bobcat Shuttle service ends.

The Bobcat Bobbies are a student-staffed safety escort service under the direction of the University Police Department. This service is for any student, faculty, or staff, who for safety reasons, would like an escort to or from on-campus facilities.

CARTS Transit operates THE BUS, the San Marcos municipal bus service. THE BUS offers regular service connecting neighborhoods and downtown businesses for citizens, visitors, and students. All fixed route services offer wheelchair accessible vehicles.

THE BUS operated by CARTS provides an equivalent accessible transportation option to people who are unable to use the fixed-route bus service because of a disability. THE BUS provides rides, from origin to destination, within the city limits of San Marcos.
